Housing forum will be Jan. 25 at UW-Stout

HOUSING FORUM: A free event on creative solutions to the housing shortage in western Wisconsin will be later this month in Menomonie.

Regional economic development organization Momentum West is leading the Housing Solutions Forum, which will be 8:30 a.m. to noon on Jan. 25 at the UW-Stout Memorial Student Center, 302 10th Ave. E.

The program will begin with an overview of west-central Wisconsin’s housing picture presented by Momentum West Executive Director Steve Jahn and Scott Hodek, section chief for the office of economic affairs at the state Department of Workforce Development.

Other sessions at the forum will address community-based solutions to housing shortages, the impact housing has on workforce development, tiny home construction and the creation of multi-family housing for people of varying income levels.

Register online at Momentum West’s website, momentumwest.org, to reserve a seat at the event.
