![]() FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. (WKBT) — A beloved Main Street landmark that has anchored Fountain City`s downtown for nearly six decades is welcoming customers once again. The Corner Store officially reopened its doors after years of vacancy, drawing crowds eager to experience the restored space that has served the community since 1965. Owner Mike Adank said the opening weekend exceeded all expectations as locals flocked to the renovated building. "It`s been an amazing opening weekend so far," Adank said. "I think the community was just so excited to see this space restored and open again, similar to what it used to be." The new Corner Store focuses on beverages, offering hot chocolates, espressos, and lattes to customers. However, Adank emphasized that the menu wasn`t what made the opening weekend memorable — it was the community connections that filled the space... ...The restored landmark maintains limited hours to start, remaining closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
