Our Interview with Wings Over Alma

Alma, WI is a quaint tourist town with unique buildings, restaurants, inns, pubs, and shops. The colorful downtown stems from a rich history of railroads, logging and the river. Alma has hiking paths, a winery, and the Buena Vista Overlook which provides an amazing view of the river valley and lock and dam #4 in the center of town. The community also has many special places to visit including the Nature and Art Center, Wings Over Alma located at 118 North Main Street - Alma, WI 54610.

Kathy Jepsen, museum board president says, “Wings over Alma is a non-profit organization that is totally run by volunteers. The facility is located downtown on the Mississippi River and even has a deck where you can see the Lock and Dam as well as eagles, swans and pelicans as they travel through the area on their migratory path, in fact during the winter visitors can watch eagles feeding as they congregate, often in large numbers, to fish the open waters below the Dam”...
