Should Wisconsin try to attract more business from Hollywood?

Members of the city council in La Crosse are introducing a resolution to support bills in Madison that would create a Film Office for the state.

The proposal is sponsored by council members Rebecca Schwarz and Mackenzie Mindel, who back the idea of state tax incentives to attract film and TV production in Wisconsin.

Supporters argue that film productions can create local jobs and bring more spending to businesses in an area where filming is being done.
