LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — La Crosse County has completed spending $22.9 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funding awarded in 2021.

The funding supported 36 childcare provider grants, 10 units of adult bridge housing and 64 children or 23 families housed through Thriving Families, according to a presentation delivered to the County Board earlier this month. The investments also created 35 units of long-term care housing for older adults, one workforce readiness center, eight solar arrays, 21 housing redevelopment grants and 14 stormwater infrastructure projects.
